Young Egyptian illustrator who graduated from the Faculty of Applied Arts. She participated with her artwork in several exhibitions, including the Bologna Children’s Book Fair Illustrators Exhibition in 2021 and the Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival. In her illustrations, Basant uses collage techniques and also likes working with gouache and colored pencils. She was nominated for the Etisalat Award in the early childhood category for the book "My Hands" in 2020, for the Sawiris Award in 2020 for the book "Mama Duck," and won third place in the Iraqi "Oka" Award in the silent book category.
