Syrian illustrator and visual artist. She graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in 1969 and taught children’s book illustration and interior architecture at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Damascus. Until the last days of her life, she organized and supervised workshops on children’s book illustration in Syria, Italy, Lebanon, and elsewhere. She illustrated the texts and artwork for 26 television episodes for children and illustrated more than 100 children’s books. She received many awards and honors in Syria, France, Egypt, Lebanon, and Italy, including the Mahmoud Kahil Lifetime Achievement Award in 2016.
