An authentic Egyptian illustrator and visual artist. He has written critical studies on visual art and children’s culture. He earned a bachelor’s degree in fine arts in 1975. His illustrations are distinguished by their Egyptian folk character. He illustrated and designed dozens of children’s books, and his works received several awards, most notably the New Horizons Award at the Bologna Fair in 2000 for his book "The Life of Muhammad."
