Writer, educator, and researcher. She studied journalism and media, then earned a master's degree in education and creative writing. She is currently working on her PhD at Goldsmiths University in London, where she researches the use of writing as an educational tool based on Islamic heritage and philosophies of imagination. She has published several illustrated children's books. She works with a number of non-profit organizations, using imagination as an educational approach to help children explore and understand themselves and their surroundings.
