Egyptian writer living in the United States. She studied political science at Cairo University and earned a master’s degree in culture and society from the University of London. She writes fiction and prose. Among her children’s books are "Zizi Month Nights," which won the Etisalat Award for Children’s Book in 2020; "A Year in Qena," nominated for the Young Adult Book of the Year Award in 2014; "These Are Your Glasses, Abla," nominated for Best Text by the Arab Forum for Children’s Book Publishers in 2021; and "The Story of the Two Sisters Hona and Shafa," shortlisted for the 2022 Etisalat Award. Her writing has appeared in Arab and foreign magazines and literary websites, and she wrote children’s songs released on the album "Afrita" in 2022.
