Egyptian poet and writer who received the highest awards and honors throughout his career. He began writing for children with the poetic play "Tales and Songs of Kamel Kilani," then wrote dozens of verse plays for children inspired by heritage values. He won the State Encouragement Award in Poetry in 1989, the State Excellence Award in Literature in 2006, and the State Appreciation Award in Literature in 2016. He has around twenty poetry collections and many poetic works for children.
