Eileen Lucas

British educator, teacher, and writer who lived in Egypt, where she taught at Al-Alsun Language School. Her memory was honored by naming the "Eileen Lucas Library" after her. She wrote several children’s books in English, but they dealt with themes of Egyptian identity. Among her best-known works is the children’s series "Bilya," inspired by the dolls designed by the artist Badr Hamada to represent an Egyptian family.
