Egyptian illustrator, children’s book author, and visual artist. He has illustrated 70 children’s books with Arab, Egyptian, and European publishers, some of which he also wrote. He has won many international awards in this field, including the Mahmoud Kahil Award in 2018, the Etisalat Award for Arabic Children’s Literature in 2010 as writer and illustrator of "The Black Dot," the Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival Award in 2014, first prize from the Egyptian Journalists Syndicate in 2004 and 2006, and first prize from the Egyptian Board on Books for Young People in 2002. Other achievements include being shortlisted for the Carnet de Voyage Award in 2018 and the Sheikh Zayed Award in 2016, and appearing on the Bologna honor list in Italy in 2004. He served as Art Director of Dar El Shorouk Publishing from 2000 to 2016.
