A Kuwaiti author and translator specializing in children's and young adult literature, he has published more than 50 books for children, some of which have been translated into multiple languages. He has received both local and international awards, including for his book A Little Puppy's Message (English edition), which won the Living Now Award and the Purple Dragonfly Award, among others. He has also written two musical plays for children's theater and conducted several interactive workshops for children in Kuwait and abroad.

His story Carrot and His Ten Brothers won the Sharjah Children's Reading Festival Award in 2022, and two of his other stories were shortlisted for the Etisalat Award in 2022.
