Egyptian author and screenwriter. She has published around forty books for children, young adults, and adults. Her book "For One Simple Reason" was shortlisted for the Etisalat Award for Children’s Book, and some of her books have won several Egyptian and Arab awards. She has also presented reading and storytelling sessions in Egypt, the UAE, and Lebanon. What Samar loves in the world of childhood is the ongoing ability to feel wonder, and she believes that a good children’s book should give the reader that sense of wonder and make them want to think and ask questions. She dedicated her book "All This Because of Molokhia" to all children who love molokhia, to children who do not eat molokhia, and above all to all children who love asking questions!
